Our Director and Owner, Suzanne J McGaha,MS,CCC-SLP has more than 20 years’ experience as a licensed and certified Speech Pathologist, P-ESL Specialist, MATCH-Interview, OET, and TOEFL Instructor. Ms. McGaha serves as our lead in working with ECFMG International Medical Graduates (IMGs). She has received nine national ASHA-ACE awards (2000, 2003, 2005, 2008, 2013, 2016, 2019, 2022, 2025 ). Our director has 7 years of experience as a broadcast news journalist. This experience coupled with her 20-plus years as a speech pathologist has made her a respected media and non-partisan political campaign consultant. Our Director has served in supervisory positions guiding and training other speech therapists.

The Distinct Speech team provides highly specialized services. Each client has individualized goals tailored to their wants and needs using evidence-based therapy and proven clinical communication training. Distinct Speech provides contract speech therapy services to school districts across the nation. Based in Houston, Distinct Speech is also a Texas Medicare Part-B Provider.
